My favorite session type, if I HAD to pick one, would probably go exactly how this one did. A true adventure session. Where you kind of just let the day take you where it wants and go with the flow of the energy that happens. I love a good adventure and I’m likely to try just about anything twice. I love that I have clients who embrace the concept of making their sessions as unique as they are and making it more activity based. Megan and Ryan love Joshua Tree (and who can blame them?). We decided for their session, that spending an afternoon and evening hiking and exploring in Joshua Tree was the perfect way to capture them. I think we could have gone for days and not run out of places to explore and shoot! This place has a magic all it’s own and I am so glad I was able to capture them there. We shot until we ran out of light, and then we shot some more! That desert sky just glows at night!
On a previous trip, they had found a certain spot…just a tiny keyhole opening in the side of the rock. It was quite a climb, but definitely one of the best views of the park and so much fun to find and climb again! I love that they have this special spot that nobody else does for their photos.
We of course had to stop and hike out to arch rock. The sunset was just perfection!
If there was any moment I completely and entirely related to Megan during this day, it was this one. Because dancing…well I’m one of those girls who just can’t and I love that she will not only try anything and give it her all, but that she will just laugh along the way no matter what the result. <3 <3 <3
