A STUNNING FARM TO TABLE WEDDING EXPERIENCE AT FIRESEED CATERING ON WHIDBEY ISLAND, WA
So this is probably the most image heavy wedding post I’ve ever done, but I just have to share this stunning day with you all. I was so in love with the venue, the fall colors, styling, just everything! Y’all might have seen Blake and Nicole’s mountain engagement session on the blog earlier this summer. That in itself gives you a good idea of these two and their sense of adventure!
Their wedding day at Fireseed Catering on Whidbey Island was the perfect reflection of who they are as a couple, and such a celebration of friends and family. The details were just flawless. From the table settings, to the florals, and the food was just BEYOND. They provided an amazing farm to table meal for their friends and family and it could not have been better.
Getting ready was a relaxed affair. Music, laughter, and a few drinks while the guys got ready. Nicole was stunning in her gown.
After everybody was ready they had their first look among the trees. The sun filters through the trees on the island with a perfect romantic glow! After their first look we had time for a few bridal portraits before the ceremony began.
Their ceremony was done in one of my favorite ways. Instead of chairs lined up in rows, they invited their guests to gather around them in a circle. I love shooting this type of ceremony because I get to include everybodies point of view! Nicole is the type of girl that knows how to make an entrance and include one of her passions, farming! She and her flower girl arrived on a shiny red antique tractor before walking the aisle.
After their ceremony they sent their guests off to an outdoor cocktail hour among the trees and we too a few minutes to take some post ceremony portraits. Even their beverages were all locally sourced they included one of my favorites, Finn River Cider. The willow tree and swing were one of Nicole’s favorite spots on the property so we made sure to include that.
Their reception was full of non stop laughter, hilarious speeches, dancing the night away, and again, AMAZING FOOD! I loved that they put crayons out for their guests to leave them notes and artwork on the tables at the end of the evening.
