HI THERE, I'M TARAI AM
I AM . . .
A MAMA: First and foremost I'm a mama to two amazing boys. You've probably already seen quite a few images of them if you have looked through my blog or instagram feed. Of all my roles in life, boy mom is the one I love the most. Raising my boys is both the most adventurous and terrifying thing I've ever done (also the grossest.) There is truly never a dull moment and I have them to thank for my development of my super powers that include (but are not limited to): Going days without sleep, an extreme tolerance for disgusting things and pain, a freakish knowledge of all things marvel and dinosaurs, and a never ending supply of inappropriate jokes.
AN ARTIST: A wanderer and traveler, always looking, ever seeking. Love, art, light, people, connections, the human experience and all of the emotions that go with it. These are all things that drive and motivate me to create. Life is an art and art is my lifestyle. I'm curious by nature about EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY (a true Aquarian to the core). I'm essentially the adult version of that toddler you once met that never stopped unapologetically asking "but why?!"
A LOVER: I truly believe from the bottom of my heart that love is everything. At the end of the day, at the end of our lives, it is what matters most. It is the foundation of life and when all else fails, it is the one constant in life.
A NORTHWEST SOUTHERN HYBRID: I was raising in the south, but have spent the majority of my adult life in the Pacific Northwest. Florida is where I was born, but the mountains will always have my heart. I am so grateful that this life and this work have given me the ability to know so many different places and to call them all home.
